Cuisine

Whenever visiting any tourism destination in any country in the world, most travelers spend a considerable amount of time exploring and enjoying the wild wonders of cuisines there.

Halong Bay not only has many beautiful landscapes but also the food here is also very delicious and famous with fresh seafood from the sea as crabs, prawns, and snails.
The signature cuisine of Quang Ninh is seafood, notably peanut worms, Mantis shrimps, squids, shrimps and crabs… Best treats are squids, notably its signature squid terrine. The terrine tastes crunchy and meaty; every single bite espouses the fatty sweetness of maiden squids used to make the dish. Visitors to Ha Long particularly seek after squid terrine as a gift to their friends and families.

Furthermore, Quang Ninh also boasts other good treats, like wet rolled cakes and squid terrine, “nodding” cakes, Mantis shrimp rice vermicelli… and in particular Ha Long bubble yogurt. The yogurt is left frozen to become creamy and dense, but much stickier, and served with chewy and soft bubbles, and buttery coconut juice. It’s a great treat to cool yourself down amidst the broiling meridian sun of Quang Ninh, as the light and the breezes hover around.

Ha Long Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin, includes some 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. Because of their precipitous nature, most of the islands are uninhabited and unaffected by a human presence. The site's outstanding scenic beauty is complemented by its great biological interest.
