Lan Ha is similar to a paradise that has been forgotten; it is located to the east of Cat Ba Island (Hai Phong), just near to the already renowned Ha Long Bay. Because it has only recently been opened to visitors, Lan Ha Bay is still in its natural state and maintains its unspoiled aspect, making it an ideal destination for those seeking quiet and authenticity. When I finally got to Lan Ha Bay, I decided to take a trip on a vessel decorated in the Indochina style.
The appearance of Indochina out in the midst of the ocean.
The influence of Western architecture, in particular French classical architecture, as well as the refined use of colors and materials characteristic of the East may be seen in several aspects of Vietnamese architecture. The convergence of these elements results in the architectural style known as Indochinese, which is characterized by the harmonious integration of French architecture with the climate, geography, and culture of Vietnam. This style is shown by the Marine Ship given the name “Indochine”, which derives from the word Indochina.
Overall, the cruise has a superficial appearance, exuding European luxury, but every detail is boldly traditional Vietnamese. The decorations, items and pictures on the vessel are all colored with cultural history. Most are handmade, originating from Vietnamese traditional craft villages. Pictures and artifacts on the marine ship are modeled after the French Indochina period, provided by the National Archives for non-commercial purposes. Therefore, it is difficult for visitors to find these artifacts elsewhere.
The scent of silent wood and the quietness in each architectural line gives me the impression that I have traveled through time as I make my way through the hallways and make my way to the dining tables that have been beautifully created. The boat that whisked us away from the present moment and into the world of memories and the past for a little while. The adventure to live an Indochina-inspired lifestyle and take in the unspoiled natural beauty of the bay starts.
Day 1 Hanoi - Tuan Chau Port - Lan Ha Bay - Dark and Bright Cave
It takes travelers a little over two hours to go from Hanoi to the port of Tuan Chau. After leaving Tuan Chau on a more modest boat, we were transported to a cruise that was anchored in the middle of the ocean. After getting on the boat, we had lunch and then continued to Lan Ha Bay. After moving to the center of the bay, the phone connection started to become less reliable, and visitors started to grow acclimated to life without the Internet. What was left was simply people, sea, mountains, and cruises. I take things easy as I enjoy life leisurely while wearing a thin shirt, drinking a glass of wine, and sitting on the balcony. The islands and mountains of Lan Ha Bay seem to be dozing off in close proximity to one another in the midst of the water, adding a touch of romance to the area. Visitors have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities, such as kayaking and exploring caverns, one of which is an intriguing location known as Bright Dark Cave. Another option is to just relax on a boat and take in the beauty of the bay. The Bright Dark Cave may be found in the region that is bordered by Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay, which is known for its stunning limestone mountains and diverse natural ecosystems. The whole region may be broken up into two distinct sections: the Light Cave and the Dark Cave. Visitors are not permitted to travel around Dark Cave since it is quite extensive, sometimes flooded, and home to a great number of bats. In the meanwhile, the Bright Cave is a very brief cavern that is lit by natural sunlight. As I paddled my kayak under the stone archway of Bright Cave, I had the opportunity to take in the tranquility of the circular lake nestled between the limestone mountains and the lush flora. It was in this setting that I felt as if I had really returned to the purest form of nature.
As we were making our way back to the boat, the sun started to drop over the bay, and dusk was beginning to fall. The image of yachts moored in the midst of the sea, surrounded by water, creates a beautiful and lyrical setting. We were both paddling our kayaks when we were so enamored by the splendor of the setting sun that we forgot about the goal at hand, which was to get back to shore before the night had engulfed everything. In the evening, we take some time to relax on the boat and eat dinner together while sipping some wine. The night is quite peaceful in the water, as the breeze softly brushes each wave up against the side of the boat. You may go night squid fishing with the assistance of the cruise personnel if you wish to participate in an activity that is more exciting.
Day 2 Trung Trang Cave - Tuan Chau Port – Hanoi
The first rays of sunlight of the day found their way into each and every cabin as soon as the sun had risen. The sun came up rather soon, rousing travelers who were still feeling the aftereffects of the wine they had consumed earlier. Guests embark on the vessel and immediately begin the new day with a Tai Chi session. I made the most of the chance to take a few deep breaths in this environment, which I believed to be somewhat unusual to experience in the middle of the metropolis. After that, we make our way to the cave of Trung Trang. The name "Bat Cave" was given to this cavern in the past because of the large number of bat colonies that used to live inside of it. Because the Trung Trang cave has been subjected to geological tectonics for millions of years, the cave has a large number of naturally occurring stalactites that shimmer in the light. Because this was the location where a unit of the Navy Command that was responsible for information connection was stationed during the conflict with the United States, the cave was also referred to as the Navy. At the conclusion of the excursion, we make our way back to the boat so that we may sail back to Tuan Chau while taking in the rays of the warm sun. When you go on a cruise in Lan Ha Bay, you should pack clothes that are appropriate for nighttime activities on the boat, such as kayaking or visiting caves. This will ensure that you have the best possible time. In addition to that, ice cream and sunglasses are both recommended to be worn. a hat, some protective clothing, and something to wear in the water. When going outside in the cold, you should carry along some warm clothing. When going through the check-in and check-out processes, it is important to remember to bring any necessary personal documents, such as a passport, driver's license, or other form of government-issued identification.
