Indochina Sails Nominated for Travel Excellence Awards 2019 by TripZilla

Not for the first time, Indochina Sails has been nominated for a prestigious award by one of the world’s leading voices on Southeast Asian travel. TripZilla, a Singapore-based publication reaching 25 million travellers annually, nominated our luxury Lan Ha Bay cruise for a Family Star in this year’s Travel Excellence Awards. This puts Indochina Sails amongst the top handful of family-friendly activities in Southeast Asia and solidifies our multi-day cruise as a great family excursion when visiting Vietnam!

How did Indochina Sails become Nominated for a Family Star?

Vietnam is rapidly emerging as a destination that’s perfect for families. In the country’s long-adored area of Halong, amongst the vast, open playground of sea, mountains, islands, beaches and caves, it is clear to see why.

Indochina Sails cruises daily in this famous and ancient region. Our 2-day and 3-day excursions into Halong are perfectly suited for families looking for both excitement and relaxation on their discoveries of natural majesty. This is how Indochina Sails earned their nomination for TripZilla’s Family Star:

Reliable Service

Every good family cruise starts with an excellent service. By choosing Indochina Sails, families are putting their trust in a company with extensive experience in the bay, one part of the renowned Huong Hai Group that were the first to offer multi-day itineraries over 20 years ago. This experience has built up our working knowledge of safety and exquisite service, which is a standard on our cruises and an offer of real peace of mind for your family’s once in a lifetime cruise.

Serene Location

With the rapid rise of tourism to Halong Bay since its opening, Indochina Sails have decided to shift our attention to a lesser-known corner of the world wonder. Lan Ha Bay, located just to the south of Halong Bay, is a prehistoric seascape of the same natural grandeur of Halong, but with far fewer tourist boats clogging its waterways. The air is calmer, the cruises are safer and family time can be treasured more in Lan Ha Bay, the home of our newest vessel, Indochine Cruise.

Our Flexible Itinerary

Indochine Cruise offers the freedom of choice over the activities included on a cruise with us. Families can select which excursions appeal to them and can even choose different ones if mum, dad and kids want to explore in different ways. These activities involve cycling, kayaking, exploring caves, squid fishing, cooking demonstrations, tai chi and walking through ancient villages tucked away in the jungle.

Space to Play

As one of the largest ships in the Halong region, you can be sure that the little ones will find enough room to entertain themselves while on board Indochine Cruise. The 4 decks comprise of numerous cabins and facilities, topped by a 1,000m2 sundeck that offers incredible vistas over Lan Ha Bay and allows for kids to play safely while parents relax on reclining sun chairs.

A Diverse Menu

Parents of fussy eaters need not worry with Indochina Sails; our wonderfully varied menu ensures that all members of the family get a good and healthy feed while on board. We serve a scintillating fusion of Vietnamese, Pan-Asian and Western food, all presented in buffet, a la carte or set menu capacities. We always ensure that there is kid-friendly food during mealtimes and a great selection of drinks to placate those little appetites!

Excellent Facilities

Indochine Cruise is known for its outstanding facilities, spread across every cabin and reaching every communal area of the ship. If you’d like to relax in private, each cabin comes with a large double bed, cushioned seating area, wall-mounted TV, furnished balcony and en suite bathroom containing dual vessel sinks and often a Jacuzzi bathtub. If you’re heading out of the cabin, families can find many areas to stretch their legs, including the sundeck, lounge, bar, spa and two restaurants. The communal Jacuzzi is especially great for different families looking to socialise together.

Family Connecting Rooms

In pursuit of the ideal family experience, Indochine Cruise features two family connecting rooms on board. These are two individual rooms joined by an internal door, allowing for the convenience of access as well as one king-sized bed, two twin beds, two bathrooms and a conjoined balcony with tonnes of space.
